Most Windows programs that can be loaded in Windows 2000 or ME can be loaded in XP. When Music Maker 5 was released, programs were loaded in Windows, not DOS. ![]() ![]() Things were different then than they are now. #2 - Magix was not making Music Maker 6, 7, or any other of their recent software when Westwood was making Command and Conquer. Considering Microsoft is a group of dumb asses and they decided to eliminate that possibility (mainly because all programs now run through Windows), Windows XP doesn't let you load programs through DOS (or at least to my knowledge there is no way to make it do that). When you run the game, it is being loaded through DOS. #1 - Command and Conquer is a program that runs in DOS mode. ![]() Excuse me while I correct your ignorance and teach a little technological history.
